SURVEY DESIGN & MANAGEMENT

If Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) / Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) survey work is required as part of a mitigation strategy, then RPS can provide UXO Survey Management services. This service includes:

Support with the Request for Quotation (RFQ) (technical specifications, procedures and survey design) and technical review of tenders. These shall be developed with specific consideration to the zoned risks and localised ground conditions. Requirements for soil sampling in the vicinity of chemical munitions dump sites (if appropriate) shall also be considered.

Offshore supervision of third-party survey works (near shore and offshore), including daily reporting, QA/QC and in field survey development as required.

Survey data processing or review of same where undertaken by the survey contractor.

Output from the UXO / ERW survey shall comprise a target listing with categorised targets for avoidance or investigation where avoidance is not possible.
